NeurologyLive® and CMSC partner to present two expert-driven webcast programs

NeurologyLive®, a multimedia platform dedicated to providing health care professionals who treat neurological diseases with direct access to expert-driven, practice-changing news and insights in neurology, in partnership with the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC), is pleased to announce two upcoming webcast programs on multiple sclerosis (MS) in October.

The October programs from NeurologyLive® and CMSC will feature the following interactive virtual webcasts:

  • Differing Perspectives on Multiple Sclerosis Care: Nursing and Patient Program will be a two-part webcast series geared toward MS nursing professionals and patients. The first session for MS nursing professionals will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon EDT, followed by a complimentary patient program from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. EDT. The featured speakers are Denise Bruen, ANP-BC, MSN, MSCN; Stephanie Agrella, PhDc, MSN, RN, ANP-BC, MSCN; and Marie Namey, APRN, MSCN. This innovative program will provide nurses and patients with evidence-based information on the latest disease-modifying therapies, as well as symptoms and the psychological impact of MS, in order to educate and improve the relationships between MS nursing professionals and their patients. Nursing professionals will earn three CE credits for completing the nursing program.
  • Cannabis and MS: Helping Patients Understand Risks and Benefits, a three-part webcast series, will take place on Wednesdays, Oct. 14, 21 and 28, at 7 p.m. EDT. The featured speaker is Allen C. Bowling, M.D., Ph.D., director of the NeuroHealth Institute and clinical professor of neurology at the University of Colorado. During this progressive three-part series, Bowling will describe the current understanding of pharmacology, efficacy and adverse events associated with cannabis use in MS, including drug interactions, the role of the Food and Drug Administration and MS clinical trial data, among other topics. Participants will earn one CE credit for completing each session.
